I have worn hair extensions and wigs for as long as I can remember.

In 2019, someone dear to me confided in me and shared their struggles with alopecia. They asked me to help find a stylish, realistic and affordable wig. I was always the go-to person for wigs amongst friends and family members, so I gladly accepted the mission. Unfortunately, the mission soon became a nightmare. I was surprised to discover medical wigs for hair loss were hard to find online.

This is where my vision began. After discussing it with my family, my sister came up with the name for my business, Remake MyHair. Two years later, while still cultivating my dream, my sister’s speech started slurring. Her daily walks in the park became challenging as her legs seemed heavy. Even getting up from the couch had become a struggle. After six months, several visits to doctors and a number of tests, we got devastating news. My sister was diagnosed with ALS.
This turned our lives upside down. Life would never be the same. My mom and my sister began living with me and my husband and I became my sister’s primary caregiver. My sister became a reminder of how precious life is. We have to enjoy life and keep striving to reach our dreams. We never know what the future holds.
