Kaia Gerber is one of many celebs who have turned to DIY beauty treatments to pass the time at home during the coronavirus pandemic. Since social distancing started in March 2020, the model has dyed her hair platinum blonde and pastel pink, and has even given herself a stick-and-poke tattoo.
After spending a good chunk of the pandemic as a blonde, Gerber is once again a brunette and added layered curtain bangs to her signature bob. The model debuted her new cut and color on her Instagram Story on Feb. 11.

But instead of ordering a box dye online, Gerber turned to the professionals. In her story, she credits celebrity hair colorist Matt Rez for her rich brunette color and celebrity hairstylist Aaron King for her bob and curtain bangs.

“My hair has been on a JOURNEY but we’re back,” Gerber wrote in her story. Based on this caption, it seems like Gerber had to go through rounds of color correction after bleaching her own hair in order to get back to brunette.

Giving into boredom by using permanent dye on your hair can come with a side of damage, but the silver lining is that salons are open and the pros can help. And you might as well try a trending cut like curtain bangs while you’re at it.
